About this site

My name is McKenna Linn, and I love the old Necchi sewing machines... particularly the BU Novas. This site is, quite simply, an homage to those beautiful old machines, with some advice/information about their maintenance, as well as some machines I own and some I have for sale. I'm not a big-time dealer, I just fix machines (I am a Ray White certified sewing-machine mechanic) and play with them, then try to find them good homes if I have more than I can use. The thing about sewing machines is they need to be used to remain in good working order. Much as I'd like to think I can use 100+ machines, I know I can't... so some need to go to new homes. If you think you might like to adopt one, please contact me.

Please visit my other Web sites, McKennaLinn.com and GrandmothersSewingMachine.com

To see my personal machine, the one I turn to first for most jobs, check out the page "Treadled BU Nova." The machine as it looks today is at the bottom of that page. Not the most beautiful specimen cosmetically, but mechanically she's an ELEVEN! (remember the movie "Spinal Tap"?)

There is a Yahoo! group called NecchiFiles where folks can ask questions, share information and photos, etc. If you'd like to join, click here:
