The Novas came in black and Kelly green, with black being far more common. Miras were an olive sort of color (some would call it "slime"), some machines verging on grey, but the green Novas were truly green. To my eye, very close (not exact, but in the ballpark) to the shade of green as the Elna "Grasshopper" (a.k.a. Model 1 and Model 50). There was a connection between the two companies at some point in their histories... Who knows?
I've got both a BF and a BU green Nova. The BF paint is original, as far as I can tell. The BU machine has been repainted an unauthentic green... close but no cigar. Still, traces of the original green remain on the underside, so I'm confident it was originally a greenie Nova.
So, my green BF:

The serial number is 613647. She's a beauty. Period.
The brown light is curious....

But the chrome sparkles, as does the paint.

Okay, on to the green BU in my herd... As I said, it's been repainted, but there is strong evidence that it was originally the same green as my BF.

Too much blue in that paint... but look at the bottom, you can see the original color, which is pretty much the same as my BF:

And look at the light! Same brown as the BF, so maybe it is original equipment?

For the record, the green-repaint machine's serial number is U269720.
